In the PS2 video game, Persona 3 FES, the menus looked really clean and I thought, Huh, that wouldn't be a bad look for my journal.

Here's a screenshot ignore the multi-armed-and-eyed moster thing —and that's sort of the look I was going for... not quite there yet.
