So many people lie on the Internet. It's so easy to do—who's gonna hold you responsible? And it's not just about small things—age, residence, etc. Some people do that to protect themselves for one reason or another. I'm talking about saying you're something you aren't. Saying you did something you didn't. Stealing artwork as one's own. One time in dAmn someone came in claiming they were a psychic, and it was a trait passed down through their family. Really farfetched stuff. But some people, including some here on dA, have gone so far as to fabricate the death(s) of themselves or people they know. Bastards, I know, but it's been done. Maybe for attention or sympahty or what have you.

Unfortunately, this makes it harder to believe the more incredible stories that happen to be true.
